Looks like the theme on Jalopnik today is about rare yet awesome cars, and also about the stunning Canadian Domestic Market (CDM) .
The Chevy Optra (née Daewoo Lacetti) was introduced as a Canadian only model for the year 2004. It was chaperoned by a 4 door sedan and a quirky Saab-esque 5 door Hatch, ironically called the Optra5.
It came standard with 3 pedals and a stick. It was sadly phased out after the 2007 season.

I test drove one of those once. It was an awful tin can; felt very flimsy in in construction and driving manners.

We got it as the Suzuki Forenza. Nothing special. Nothing that'll be missed.
